It’s Not Like Being Tickled by Angels…
FUHK! FUUUUUUUUUHK! WHAT THE FUHHHHHHHK? SHIT! SERIOUSLY!!! WHAT THE FUHHHHHK! I had a real stinging pain in my left arm and at first I thought somehow a rock flicked up from the road and got me right on the bicep. At first I didn’t say anything, but that feeling didn’t go away. Instead it intensified and after about 15 seconds, I unleashed the above unholy torrent of curses into the Korean air. I looked down at my arm and there was a little bee embedded in my left bicep. I slowed the bike and flicked the sleeve of my shirt and away the little guy went. I decided to pull over and have a look at my arm. It looked like a monstrous mosquito bite, and it burned. I cursed my luck and rode on. My first bee sting was at 80 kph, not too shabby. As I continued to ride, I noticed the flapping of my sleeve was driving me crazy, kinda like someone was flicking a burn. So the whole time I was bobbing my head to the beat of my own curses.
That’s the most interesting thing that happened today. Beyond that, it’s business as usual. Another camp started today, and I got a fright at lunch time when the head teacher told me I was expected to stay at the school until 4:30. I explained that I thought after camp classes were done, the camp teachers could go home. I was diplomatic and nonchalant about it, if I got my back up, then I knew for sure I’d be staying late. She said: “Actually you have to stay until 4:30, but maybe the principal will let you leave early.” Luckily he did. Despite my diplomacy, it did quite piss me off though, because that is how things were done last year, and she had told me herself last winter regarding the school camps. “When you are finished teaching, you may go home”. This year has been a series of pleasant surprises like that, and it has been wearing on my patience to the point where I’ve been considering taking my ball and going somewhere else to play. For now however, I’m staying put.

I hear Canada is nice this time of year
Yes I suppose it is, Korea’s been really muggy this year. I’m one week from my vacation though which will be really great. I’m off for three weeks, and I’ve got some cool stuff planned.
