The Week In Review…

The good …  Surprise pay for teacher training was double what I expected.  It was even sweeter that the pay came on Friday and my Head Teacher let me leave early to get a Canadian dollar money order from the bank.  Now I can send off my criminal record check and start gearing up for next year’s job hunt.

The bad … One  KT was complaining about teaching English being difficult to a co-worker in Korean on our lunch break.  I have ZERO sympathy.   His idea of difficult was being in the classroom.  Last semester he simply left me on my own for most of ‘our’ classes to teach everything while he stayed in his office to catch up on paper work.

The ugly … Another KT tossed his cookies.  An unreal sight.  I don’t know what the students did, but I sure hope they don’t do it again.  At some point in the future I’ll discuss EPIK 2010~11 in detail; a reflections piece.

Next week … Planning the Sobaeksan hike.  I’ve got to get train and bus schedules back and forth to Daejeon.   School is the same, make lessons, teach lessons.
