2020 too

So 2022 feels eerily familiar to 2020. Lot’s of COVID going around with schools shutting down face-to-face teaching. We are now officially into its third wave. The schools are online temporarily, whereas the universities here are forging ahead with face-to-20-or-more-face instruction. I’m very thankful that I’m no longer in the classroom. My current job as a writing specialist is done entirely online,  and it suits me very well.

Family Visit

RS’s mother is in town and finally meeting her grandchildren. I often wish my mother had lived to meet her namesake. I think she would have adored AR and AM.  RS’s mother, Enin (Indonesian for grandmother) is enjoying AR’s company and antics. She has also been helping us out with raising the babies and having someone experienced around supporting us has been great. She is here indefinitely and both RS and I are grateful for her presence; not just because she is helping out with AR and AM. By being here, she is sharing in this experience with us and adding to our happy memories.
