Road Trip 2010 … A Lazy Day in Jeju

I awake the next day feeling tired but at the same time refreshed by the previous hike. I extend my stay at the hotel by an extra night and Arthur and I share a last lunch before he’s off to catch his boat back to the mainland.   We exchange emails and part ways.

I head over to a PC bang to figure out what else I’d like to do next.  Scuba diving is high on my list.   So I try to call on of the local companies and find out about the rates and whether or not any times are available.  The owner tells me that right now on short notice it’s not likely to happen.  It’s a disappointment but I move on.

With Scuba diving out there isn’t much left that I want to do here on this trip.  I go back to the hotel room, and do some reading before supper.  A cream pasta from a local foreign food restaurant.  Another website called this place an oasis of western food.  That’s kind of pushing it.  My pasta wasn’t anything special and I suspect the chicken breasts used in it were flash-frozen and reheated.  The service was nice though, friendly and fast.  I’d go back to try some other things on the menu to see how they fare.

Back at the hotel I settle in with my book.  Jupiter is now in South Africa and getting ready to take a boat to South America.  My own journey pales by comparison, but it’s enough for me.  I drift into contented sleep.
