Seoul Man – Resolutions Update
I’m back in South Korea for a brief trip to visit this years KOTESOL conference. It’s been a great trip. There are a lot of memories for me here. Besides my conference responsibilities this has mostly been a culinary trip down memory lane. I’ll be leaving Seoul in about 18 hours and headed back to the sandbox. This is actually a good time to revisit the resolutions and see how things are going two months later.
1. Be Debt-free by next summer.
Still doable but this travel really eats into my budget!
2. Get back into shape (~170 pounds!)
As of now I’m down to about 91 kg from 97 when I arrived in Doha
3. Complete the Abu Dhabi Triathlon this March.
Obviously March isn’t here yet but I am planning to take part in a mini-tri in November.
4. Present at a TESOL conference. DONE!
5. Brush up on my French (Duolingo 3x per week) & Korean (finish one of my books).
Taking French lessons, on a Duolingo 20 day streak. Taking Korean Lessons as well.
6. Learn a new Language (complete a level of Rosetta Stone and/or one textbook).
No progress here yet though Arabic lessons are starting up soon!
7. Cook at least once a month for friends.
Aug, Sept, Oct – So far so good…
8. Develop and expand the blog (add a cooking section and an EFL section).
Way down the list of priorities right now. No progress yet.
Overall so far so good. As busy as things have been I haven’t found it overwhelming to cope with all the recent lifestyle changes. In fact I find my days more structured which allows me to get more things done and keeps stress at bay.
